How to change the color of a logo

1. Open your logo

Use a transparent PNG for the cleanest result. JPG and WebP also work. Try a sample wordmark or monogram if you want to see the tool first.

2. Choose what changes

A transparent logo starts fully selected. To replace just one color, click it with Wand. Matching colors are selected even when letters or shapes are separate.

3. Set a color and save

Choose black or white, or paste your six-digit brand Hex. Keep Solid fill mode for a solid logo, check it on a light or dark preview, and download the PNG.

A white logo for a dark background

Select the whole transparent logo and choose white (#FFFFFF). Use the dark preview to see the edges. The preview background is only for checking your work; it is not added to the download. Choose black (#000000) for a version to place on a light background.

Change one color in a two-color logo

Click the accent with Wand, then enter its replacement Hex. Matching parts of that color change together, while other colors stay outside the selection. Lower the tolerance if nearby shades get picked up, or use Erase to remove them.

Made for existing artwork

Keep the shape. Keep the transparency.

Transparent stays transparent

Recoloring preserves the alpha channel, including partially transparent edges. Start with a transparent source: a white box in a JPG remains part of the image.

A solid color from your Hex

Solid fill mode puts your chosen RGB color into the selected pixels. Realistic mode is available for shaded artwork. For brand colors, start with Solid fill and check any soft edges against the background where the logo will be used.

Browser processing for the free edit

The free logo recolor and PNG download happen on your device. You do not need an account to try a color or download the standard-size result.

Before you upload

Which logo file should you use?

Source fileWhat to expect
Transparent PNGBest for logos. Change the artwork color and keep the transparent background, including soft edges.
JPG or opaque WebPClick the logo color to select it first. The existing background remains; this tool does not automatically remove it.
SVG, PDF, or design sourceExport a transparent PNG from your design app first. This tool downloads PNG files and does not edit vector paths or export SVG.

Free downloads keep the long edge at 1600px or less. Smaller logos are not enlarged. Use your original vector file when you need a logo for large-format print.

Logo color changer FAQ

Can I change my logo color for free?

Yes. Recolor your logo in the browser and download a PNG without an account or watermark. The free file keeps the long edge at 1600 pixels or less; smaller images stay at their existing dimensions.

How do I make my logo white or black?

Upload a transparent PNG, use Select whole logo, and choose White (#FFFFFF) or Black (#000000). Keep Solid fill mode selected. Switch the preview background to check your result; that preview color is not included in the PNG.

Will my PNG keep its transparent background?

Yes. Recoloring preserves the original transparency and partially transparent edges. It does not remove an existing white or colored background. If your logo has a background, start with a transparent export from the original design.

Can I change just one color in my logo?

Yes. Click a color with Wand to select matching pixels across the logo, including disconnected letters and shapes. Enter a new Hex, adjust tolerance if needed, and use Add or Erase for details. Each new Wand click replaces the current selection.

Can I use my exact brand Hex code?

Yes. Enter a six-digit Hex code and use Solid fill mode to apply that RGB color to selected pixels. Partially transparent edges blend with the background where you place the logo, so their displayed color can look different.

Can I recolor an SVG logo here?

This tool accepts PNG, JPG, and WebP, and exports PNG. Export your SVG logo as a transparent PNG before uploading. Keep the original SVG if you need editable vectors or a scalable print file.

Is my logo uploaded to a server?

The free recolor processes your file locally in your browser. Your logo is not sent to a server for that edit or for the free PNG download.

Give your logo its next color.

Start with a transparent PNG. Choose your brand Hex, check the edges, and save a version ready for your next design.
